Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko believes that energy companies can engage in cryptocurrency mining. Speaking to journalists at the Horizont enterprise, the head of the republic reminded everyone present about the rising price of bitcoin.
In his opinion, if the energy companies switch over to this segment, you can make good money. BTC has now gone up in price very well and, by all appearances, this trend will continue. The bitcoin rate has already risen up to Br870.377 per coin against the Belarusian currency.
Lukashenko said that someone had recently suggested him to run a mining farm on the territory of the Belarusian nuclear power plant. Cheap electricity will allow us to mine the cryptocurrency. However, it is necessary to work out this issue and only then we can get down to building enterprises for cryptocurrency mining near the sources of electricity.
The president emphasized:
With any electricity you can build these farms, as they call them, and rivet this currency [bitcoin].
Lukashenko suggested that the energy companies should work on this issue in detail and come to him with the best proposal. In the end, Belarus could become one of the largest bitcoin miners in the world.
